What We Do
Founded in 2022, the initial priority of Neighbours Welcome was to support Ukrainian refugees arriving in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, identifying potential hosts, assisting in finding school places and generally assisting refugees with integration into the UK in conjunction with other community groups.
However, with many refugees now successfully placed in the UK, those that we helped recognise that the needs of the millions of displaced people inside Ukraine are much greater than their own. This has led us to refocus a big part of our work towards victims remaining in their own country, whilst still continuing to support deserving projects for the benefit of refugees in the Guildford/Waverley area.
With strong personal links to people and agencies working inside Ukraine, particularly in the Nikopol area close to the front line, Neighbours Welcome raises funds and collects material aid, which is then transported by partner organisations to where it is needed.

What Is Neighbours Welcome?
Established in the summer of 2022, Neighbours Welcome is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England & Wales (Company Number 14266656).
We are also a UK registered charity with the Charities Commission (Charity Number 1203243).
Our objects are set out in our articles of association; these are exclusively charitable and are concerned with supporting refugees, including but not limited to those displaced by the war in Ukraine.
